Plan your canapé menu
A useful canapé enquiry brings the food choices, guest numbers and service together. Start with Fables’ current canapé selection, then prepare one clear brief for the event you are planning. Your quotation confirms the items, quantity and service agreed for that booking.
Choose any three from the current lists
The menu allows three items mixed from its Asian, Middle Eastern and British selections. Work from the complete current list and write down the exact items you would like Fables to confirm.
Read the descriptions beyond the main ingredient. Dips, dressings, cheese, bread and other accompaniments can be part of an item. Include questions about anything unclear when you send your shortlist.
Explain what guests will eat around them
Say whether the canapés are planned for arrival, a drinks reception or another part of the event. Include any meal or other food before or afterwards and its proposed serving time.
Ask Fables to confirm the quantity included for your guest numbers and service period. Do not use the number of different canapé choices as a portion count. The guest numbers and portions guide helps you prepare the separate figures.
Discuss boards or a buffet arrangement
The current menu describes staff serving from small rustic boards and buffet service on rustic wooden tables. Tell Fables which approach you would like considered and where guests will gather.
Ask what staffing, tables, equipment and additional service charges are included in the proposed arrangement. Read the catering service styles guide if you are comparing this part of the reception with the rest of your food plan.
Keep the practical details with the selection
Include your event date, venue postcode, the number expected during service, guest arrival window and preferred food start and finish. Explain the proposed serving area and who can confirm access or venue restrictions.
Use one current list when discussing changes so the food, numbers and service stay connected. The catering quote checklist helps you clarify the complete proposal before confirming.
Dietary requirements
Fables caters for agreed food intolerances only. We do not cater for food allergies.
Please discuss any food intolerance with us before booking so we can confirm whether we can accommodate it. A request is included only once Fables has expressly confirmed the arrangements; entering it on a form does not confirm acceptance.
Our kitchens and mobile catering units handle allergens, and cross-contact can occur. We provide ingredient and allergen information, but do not guarantee allergen-free food. Vegan options are not necessarily suitable for someone with a food allergy.
Coeliac disease requires separate consideration and must not be treated as an ordinary intolerance request. Do not assume our food is suitable.
Confirm the agreed intolerance requirements and portion numbers on your final booking form, and tell us promptly about any changes. Please do not include guests’ names or medical histories.
Prepare your enquiry
Bring together your three preferred items, guest numbers, proposed serving period and venue arrangements. Include questions about ingredients, food quantity, service support and anything you still need the venue to confirm.
Send your canapé catering enquiry. Fables will check availability and discuss the complete food and service brief.
