Pizza base questions
What size and style are the bases?
Our pizza bases are 12-inch, extremely thin Neapolitan style, made locally in small batches at the Fables kitchen in Frognall. They are supplied plain for your own toppings and final bake.
Can I try them before placing a regular order?
Yes. The 3-base sample pack is free; delivery is charged separately. One sample pack per customer. Email us to order and we’ll confirm the delivery charge.
How much is delivery and packaging?
Local delivery is available within about 20 road miles of Frognall PE6 8RR: £3.50 up to 5 miles, £7 for 5–10 miles, £10.50 for 10–15 miles and £14 for 15–20 miles. Local orders of £45 or more in paid bases and dough balls qualify for free delivery; free samples do not count toward £45. Sample-only orders pay delivery. Bases can also be sent nationwide by courier at £7.95 per pack. Dough balls are local delivery only.
Does quantity 1 mean one base or one pack?
Quantity 1 means one complete pack: 3 bases for the trade sample, 10 bases for the 10-pack, or 25 bases for the 25-pack.
Do the bases come with toppings?
No. Bases are supplied plain. Add your own toppings and bake before serving. The topped pizzas in our photographs are serving suggestions.
What about ingredients and allergens?
The bases contain wheat (gluten). For ingredient or allergen questions, please contact the Fables team before ordering.
Can I discuss regular supply?
Yes. Include your likely order quantity, frequency and oven type in your enquiry so we can discuss a suitable supply arrangement.
