Corporate canapé catering

Give reception food a clear place in your business event brief. For a welcome reception, networking occasion or team celebration, start with attendance, the programme and the venue. Fables’ current canapé selection sets out the food and serving approaches to discuss before booking.

Separate attendance from catering numbers

Identify who will be present during the canapé service. A total delegate or invitation count may include people attending a different part of the event, so give the number you want this food provision to cover.

Explain whether people arrive together, join after a meeting or attend in different groups. Share any known attendance changes promptly. The guest numbers and portions guide helps keep the food brief tied to the relevant serving period.

Connect service with the programme

Include the guest arrival window, presentations, speeches and any later meal in your enquiry. Tell us the proposed food start and finish so the service can be considered with the rest of the programme.

For a workplace event, identify any access or working-time restrictions that affect setup. Let the venue contact and event organiser work from the same agreed service details rather than separate assumptions.

Choose the food and way of serving

The current menu offers any three items mixed from the Asian, Middle Eastern and British selections. Read the complete descriptions, including dips and accompaniments, and provide one preferred shortlist for Fables to confirm.

Discuss staff serving from small rustic boards or a buffet arrangement on rustic wooden tables. Your quotation should identify the staffing, food quantity, equipment and any additional service charges agreed for this event. The catering service styles guide can help you frame those questions.

Give the venue a complete brief

Share the postcode, access arrangements and proposed serving area. Identify the person who can confirm supplier access, the room plan and any venue rules relevant to catering.

Ask how the proposed food service fits with registration, guest circulation and other activity in the space. Use the catering quote checklist to clarify food, staffing, hire items and responsibilities before confirming.

Dietary requirements

Fables caters for agreed food intolerances only. We do not cater for food allergies.

Please discuss any food intolerance with us before booking so we can confirm whether we can accommodate it. A request is included only once Fables has expressly confirmed the arrangements; entering it on a form does not confirm acceptance.

Our kitchens and mobile catering units handle allergens, and cross-contact can occur. We provide ingredient and allergen information, but do not guarantee allergen-free food. Vegan options are not necessarily suitable for someone with a food allergy.

Coeliac disease requires separate consideration and must not be treated as an ordinary intolerance request. Do not assume our food is suitable.

Confirm the agreed intolerance requirements and portion numbers on your final booking form, and tell us promptly about any changes. Please do not include guests’ names or medical histories.

Prepare your enquiry

Include the date, venue postcode, numbers for this service, programme timings, preferred three items and serving approach. Say which venue details remain to be confirmed.

Request a corporate canapé quote. Fables will check availability and discuss the proposed food and service for your event.
