Party Buffet Catering
Bring people together over food at a birthday, anniversary, engagement or family gathering. Fables provides buffet catering for private events across the UK. Whether your celebration is at home or at a hired venue, the starting point is a clear guest count, a serving time and the kind of meal you want.
Plan the buffet around your celebration
Explain whether food is the main reason everyone is gathering or one part of a longer party. A daytime family event and an evening celebration may call for different menu discussions. Fables offers hot and cold buffet options, sandwich platters, grazing platters, hot buffets and bespoke menus.
Use our menu collection to explore the available catering styles, then tell us your food preferences and budget. Include any other catering you have arranged so your enquiry describes the whole occasion.
Give us a useful guest count
Tell us how many people you want to feed and whether they are all expected at the same time. If invitations are still being answered, label the number as an estimate and explain when you expect to confirm it. Separate your overall guest total from portion numbers for any expressly agreed intolerance requirements.
For a surprise party, let us know about arrival arrangements that affect catering access. At a hired hall, check who can open the venue and when setup may begin.
Choose the service you need
Decide which jobs you want Fables to provide. Our service styles guide helps you describe the difference between delivery and staffed arrangements. Delivery, setup, serving, clearing and equipment are quote-specific and must be explicitly listed in your quotation.
Send details of parking, loading access, steps, available tables and any venue restrictions. Staffed service ends when the booked quantity has been served or the agreed service period ends, whichever comes first. Guest waste, bins and venue cleaning remain the client’s or venue’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed with Fables.
Food intolerances and allergies
Fables caters for agreed food intolerances only. We do not cater for food allergies.
Please discuss any food intolerance with us before booking so we can confirm whether we can accommodate it. A request is included only once Fables has expressly confirmed the arrangements; entering it on a form does not confirm acceptance.
Our kitchens and mobile catering units handle allergens, and cross-contact can occur. We provide ingredient and allergen information, but do not guarantee allergen-free food. Vegan options are not necessarily suitable for someone with a food allergy.
Coeliac disease requires separate consideration and must not be treated as an ordinary intolerance request. Do not assume our food is suitable.
Confirm the agreed intolerance requirements and portion numbers on your final booking form, and tell us promptly about any changes. Please do not include guests’ names or medical histories.
Read our catering FAQs before booking.
Private party buffet questions
Can I ask about catering at home?
Yes. Include the postcode and describe the space, access and setup arrangements. The quotation will confirm what can be provided for your event; a home address alone does not establish the service or equipment required.
What should I send for a first quote?
Send your date, postcode, guest count, serving time, budget and preferred food style. Add the access details and the delivery or staffed arrangements you would like to discuss.
Request a party buffet quote and tell us what you are celebrating, so the food and practical arrangements can be planned together.
