Build a presentation companion-pack brief

Plan the reading, explanation and take-away material that content owners will supply alongside a presentation. Add each requested item, name its owner by role and record what that owner has actually agreed. The builder turns the entries into an owner worklist, a question list and an index of the final material references you record.

This is a content-planning task. A presenter’s summary, their own transcript, an explanation of a key chart or a named handout can each have a separate owner and version. The tool does not make those materials, convert a file or supply a specialist service. Keep playback devices, connection questions and technical cues in the separate AV equipment discussion.

Use roles and references. Enter programme references and functional reading or explanation requests. Do not enter guest names, medical details or personal contact information. Nothing is uploaded, sent or stored by this tool; refreshing clears the page. Materials remain with their actual owners.

Record each companion-material task

A request stays “Requested” until its owner agrees to supply it. “Draft supplied” still needs the owner’s final version process. Choose “Final version recorded” only to describe your own record of an actual material reference and version. That status does not establish that a pack meets anyone’s needs or is ready for distribution.

No companion-pack brief built yet.

Keep a useful final issue record

Use the owner worklist to ask for outstanding material, versions and format answers. The final index includes only entries you mark final that also have a material reference, owner role and version. Entries with missing facts remain in the questions and worklist. An unconfirmed distribution route stays visibly unresolved even when a final material reference is recorded.

For a hypothetical session, a presenter might agree to supply a short explanation of a chart while a handout remains only a request. These are two tasks with different statuses. The builder keeps that difference rather than turning a list of requested material into a promised pack.

Review the actual materials and functional requests with the content owners and relevant people. The tool makes no assessment of individual needs, legal or technical accessibility standards, equipment suitability or any specialist captioning, interpreting or assistive provision. A change to the inputs makes the previous output out of date until you build again.
