Check Pickup and Venue Access for a Wedding Car
A venue postcode does not always identify the entrance a wedding car should use. Preparation addresses and reception sites may have several approaches, restricted access or a particular place for passengers to arrive.
Collect the site facts and ask the venue and Fables to confirm the arrangement. This guide does not establish that a particular vehicle can use a route.
Confirm full addresses and postcodes
Give the complete address and postcode for every pickup and destination. Name the building or part of a larger site where passengers will be ready. If the preparation location differs from the overnight address, make that distinction clear.
Check that each address on the transport sheet matches the current itinerary. A copied address from an early wedding plan can remain unnoticed after preparations move to another location. Ask one person to own the final list.
Photograph restricted approaches
Photograph an approach where the layout or restriction would be difficult to explain in words. Label what the photograph shows, including the direction of travel and the entrance it belongs to. Mention gates, narrow sections or other known restrictions for review.
Provide reliable measurements if available, but distinguish them from estimates. Leave the assessment of the actual proposed vehicle and route to the relevant provider rather than deciding suitability from a picture.
Ask where the vehicle can wait
Ask the venue where the vehicle may wait, where passengers should be dropped off and whether any time restrictions apply. Explain requested photographs or a later onward journey so the waiting discussion covers the intended use.
Record the arrangement accepted by the venue and provider. A convenient-looking space is not automatically a permitted waiting area, and a waiting request should also be reflected in the agreed hire scope.
Identify controlled entrances
Find out who controls any gate, barrier or service entrance at the required time. Confirm how that person will be contacted and whether another event or supplier uses the same access point.
Keep those instructions with the appropriate journey leg. The ceremony venue's arrival process may have no relevance at the reception, so an unlabelled access note can create confusion. Ask for the exact entrance name the team should follow.
Pass confirmed instructions to the right contact
Give the preparation and venue contacts the accepted instructions, including any change made after the first visit. Make sure the photographer uses the same agreed arrival point when planning pictures.
Send the confirmed facts through your Fables car hire discussion. If a route, entrance or waiting instruction changes, request a review instead of assuming the original arrangement remains suitable.

Questions to settle
Does a venue's guest entrance automatically work for the proposed vehicle?
No suitability is confirmed here. Share the actual access facts and have the venue and relevant provider confirm the arrangement.
