Fables catering planning
Confirm canapé service inclusions and clearing
An event can have several different cleaning and equipment agreements at once. The Fables canapé menu has its own published service-inclusion wording, while the venue and other suppliers may have separate responsibilities. Keep those distinctions visible. Ask the quotation to identify the actual food presentation, staffing, equipment and finish so an organiser does not assume that every end-of-event task comes with the canapés.
Start with the canapé-specific offer
The published menu lists buffet presentation, a rustic serving table and gazebos where required. It also describes waiter service as an additional arrangement. Record which approach you want and ask what the actual venue proposal includes. A list of menu inclusions is useful source information, but the chosen service, equipment and timings should still be clear in the quotation.
Describe extra help as named tasks
If staff are needed to carry boards, prepare a serving point or help beyond the canapé period, state the jobs and hours requested. Ask what is included and what is additional. Do not transfer the waiting-staff service’s separate terms to the canapé proposal without checking. A per-hour figure alone does not establish the entire staff team, booking duration or food allowance.
Ask about the agreed finish for food
The menu describes leftover canapés being served later on a platter or disposed of. Ask Fables which arrangement is proposed for the actual event and how it fits the service plan. Follow the food provider’s instructions. Do not create an organiser-led storage or reuse method, or promise a later food service merely because the published menu mentions a possible leftover arrangement.
Confirm the scope of refuse handling
The canapé menu includes discreet refuse removal wording for that service. Ask what it covers in the actual quotation and how it sits alongside current booking terms and venue requirements. Keep wider guest waste, bar waste, bins and room cleaning as separate questions. A food-service inclusion should not become an unsupported promise to remove all waste from the whole event.
Identify tableware and equipment providers
List any plates, glasses or other equipment supplied separately by the venue or hire company. Ask who clears and prepares those items for their own collection arrangements. If the organiser requests waiting staff, define those tasks explicitly. The person collecting the canapé equipment may not be the provider responsible for every item used during the reception.
Write the final handover
Name the person receiving the service, the venue contact and the party responsible for each finish task. Record collection access and any deadline for clearing the serving area. If the reception moves or timings change, ask for the altered arrangement to be confirmed. Keep the accepted handover with the menu and staff scope so the end of service is part of the booking plan.
Bring the details together
Use a task table covering presentation equipment, staff, any agreed leftover handling, food-service refuse, other guest waste, tableware preparation and collection access. Put the relevant provider beside each row. Ask Fables to confirm the menu-specific inclusions and any requested change, with wider venue work separately identified.
