Questions for an ice cream or churros service

Ice cream and churros are separate dessert choices with their own food and serving questions. Decide which experience you want before assuming that the same cart arrangement, equipment or timetable suits both. Use the published Fables options to begin the discussion, then confirm the exact proposal for your celebration.

Choose the dessert before the display

The Fables range includes ice cream and a churros bar alongside other sweet choices. Name the option that interests you and explain whether it is the main dessert, a later treat or part of a combination you would like discussed. Ask for the actual food selection to be confirmed rather than adding flavours, toppings or accompaniments that are not in the agreed proposal. The appearance of a cart is useful styling context, but it does not settle the food service being ordered.

Read the relevant price and minimum together

The published examples list ice cream and the churros bar at £3 per person, each with a minimum order of £300. Discuss your expected dessert attendance and ask how the relevant minimum applies to the complete enquiry. Do not treat the per-person example as an all-inclusive event total or assume the same minimum applies to every other dessert option. Keep the chosen food, agreed quantity, hire arrangement and any service items together when reviewing a quotation.

Confirm how food reaches the guest

Ask how the selected dessert is presented and which serving tasks are included. Discuss the containers, plates, spoons, napkins or other items appropriate to the agreed selection. Have their provider identified clearly rather than assuming the cart comes with every accessory pictured. If another supplier or your own helpers have tasks, include those responsibilities in the plan. Do not infer preparation methods, equipment models or food-handling instructions from the menu name; the agreed provider should confirm the arrangement for the actual service.

Connect the service to the venue

Give the intended indoor or outdoor position and describe the route from unloading. Mention steps, doors, changes of surface and access restrictions. Ask Fables to confirm the working space and supplies needed for the proposed food service. The requirements must follow the selected equipment and arrangement, not a guess based on another event. If the venue needs an alternative position for outdoor plans, have that location and route discussed in advance rather than relying on an unreviewed move after arrival.

Set a window and an eating position

Explain when guests are intended to use the dessert service and what else is happening at that point in the event. Include any later arrivals in the quantity and timetable discussion. Show where people approach and move away, and where they can eat the food comfortably. Ask for the actual serving window and staffing to be confirmed; the menu does not promise a fixed number of guests served per minute. Coordinate the arrangement with the main meal, wedding cake or later food where relevant.

Resolve requirements and the final handover

Discuss any food intolerance before booking and wait for express confirmation. Fables does not cater for food allergies, and a dessert’s name or an assumed ingredient substitution does not establish suitability. Ask which serving and clearing tasks are included and who prepares the cart for collection. Retain only agreed requirements and portion counts in the booking details, without guests’ medical histories. If the food choice, position or programme changes, ask for the complete proposal to be reviewed rather than assuming the earlier arrangement transfers unchanged.
