Every one of our vintage carts and tricycles is designed and built in-house by the Fables team. From the framework and timber cladding to the finishing touches and styling, we create them ourselves so they feel completely unique to Fables. They’re not off-the-shelf hire props — they’re part of the same hand-built vintage style that runs throughout our catering fleet.
They make a brilliant feature at weddings, parties, corporate events and celebrations of every kind, while giving guests somewhere to enjoy something sweet. Choose from ice cream, churros, sweets, donuts, homemade cakes or cookies, or speak to us about creating something bespoke for your event.

Our Vintage Tricycle dry hire is £50, or we can provide it fully stocked and catered:

Planning your dessert cart or tricycle hire
What is the difference between dry hire and catered hire?
Choose dry hire if you want to arrange the contents yourself, or ask about the stocked and catered options listed above. Ask for the chosen option, delivery or collection arrangements and anything else included to be clearly set out in your quote.
Which desserts can I choose?
The options listed include ice cream, churros, sweets, doughnuts, homemade cakes and cookies. Tell us your preferred dessert, guest numbers and any dietary requirements so we can discuss the selection for your event.
How do I check whether a cart or tricycle will fit my venue?
Send the venue location and explain where you would like it placed. Mention doorways, steps and other access restrictions, plus whether the space is indoors or outdoors. Ask us to confirm the chosen cart or tricycle’s dimensions and access requirements before booking.
