Check Place Card and Menu Quantities
Place cards and menus are counted in different ways. Some items may be intended for every guest, while others are shared by a table or used only in a particular part of the event.
Build the list from your actual seating and serving plan, then ask Fables to confirm the specification and quantity for each item. This guide does not prescribe a standard menu size or an automatic spare allowance.
List quantity and proposed size per item
Give each item a separate row with its purpose, proposed quantity and any size you want considered. Distinguish a confirmed specification from an early preference so the count is not attached to the wrong design.
Keep related items separate even when they share artwork. A place card, table name and menu may have different quantities and positions. One general request for table stationery is unlikely to describe them all clearly.
Distinguish per-guest and per-table menus
Decide how guests will use the menu. Explain whether you want one per guest, an item shared on each table or another arrangement, and show the proposed position.
Use that decision to prepare a quantity request rather than borrowing a count from another event. Ask Fables which actual arrangement can be proposed. A design reference does not confirm how many pieces your booking includes.
Track guest-list and seating deadlines
Keep the guest and seating information current and identify who owns it. Note when you expect names, table assignments and relevant wording to be settled, then ask what approval and production dates can be agreed for the actual order.
Do not invent a turnaround or assume that a late list can be accommodated. Ask how the proposed timetable works before relying on it. Keep changes to guest information visible while the personalised-item quantity is being confirmed.
Show spares separately
List any requested spare items separately and explain their intended use. A spare blank card, an extra named item and another menu are different requests and may need different handling.
Ask Fables to confirm what can be supplied and how it is included in the proposal. The planning sheet should not silently add extras as though they were part of every personalised order.
Agree the route for later changes
Ask how a later name, table or quantity change should be raised. Identify the exact affected item and current proof when sending the request, then wait for confirmation of the revised arrangement.
Keep the accepted quantities with your custom touches order and the final table plan. A seating-plan revision does not automatically update a supplier's accepted specification or add items to the booking.
Your finished planning sheet
- A separate purpose, specification and quantity for each item.
- Per-guest and shared-table arrangements clearly distinguished.
- A current guest source and named seating-plan owner.
- Requested spares shown as separate lines.
- Later changes confirmed against the actual accepted order.
Questions to settle
Will changing our seating plan automatically change the stationery order?
No. Identify the affected items and request the amendment through the provider's agreed process.
