Keep event power and Wi-Fi requirements separate

Electricity and a working connection answer different event questions. A generator arrangement does not supply Wi-Fi. Use two linked lists to confirm what booked services need, where they operate and who owns each unanswered question. The existing Fables audio and visual utility policy remains the reference for the complete booking wording.

Start with the services actually booked

List the equipment and services being discussed and name a provider contact for each. Ask those providers to confirm their electricity and any connectivity requirements for the actual booking. Keep optional items separate until selected. This avoids assigning identical requirements to every service because they share a room or supplier. A PA enquiry, photobooth booking and payment arrangement should each carry the information confirmed for that equipment and service. Give each operating position a name matching the venue plan so both lists can refer to the same place.

Keep the power arrangement on its own list

Electricity is required for Fables services and the supply requirements are confirmed for the booked equipment. The client arranges a suitable supply at the agreed setup location and time. If electricity is unavailable, Fables can discuss its own power for an additional charge arranged in advance and agreed in writing. Record the equipment, location, supplier requirements, supply contact and confirmed arrangement. Bring those details into the wider power brief while retaining the separate question of any connection required by a particular service.

Identify the applicable Wi-Fi requirement

The existing policy requires Wi-Fi where a booking includes a photobooth, DJ equipment or a card machine taking payments from guests for food. The client arranges a working connection at the equipment's operating location and supplies necessary login details. Identify which of those services is included and ask the relevant provider to confirm its practical requirements. Record who at the venue can verify the connection arrangement and who will have the required access information available at setup. Keep that service-specific answer beside the booking it concerns.

Confirm provision at the actual position

Use the same location names on the venue plan, equipment list and connection sheet. Information about electricity or Wi-Fi elsewhere on site does not explain provision at that position. Ask the venue and provider how the proposed requirements will be checked and what must be ready at setup. Keep access details with the relevant people rather than putting private login information in a widely circulated event handout. If equipment moves between rooms, identify those locations and ask how the agreed arrangement applies to each.

Raise unavailable provision before the event

Tell Fables in advance when an agreed supply or connection is unavailable so suitable alternatives can be discussed. Ask the relevant provider to confirm any proposed mobile connection or offline arrangement for the actual equipment and location. Retain its written answer and update the event brief. The full existing policy explains that missing or unsuitable agreed provision can delay or prevent the affected service. Early confirmation keeps those unresolved matters visible and prevents a separately agreed power source being mistaken for confirmation that Wi-Fi is available.

Questions about this worksheet

Does separate power provide Wi-Fi?

No. Confirm the applicable connection at the booked equipment's location and raise unavailable provision with Fables before the event.

Can we promise a mobile connection instead?

Ask the relevant provider whether a suitable alternative can be agreed for the actual equipment and location. No mobile coverage, offline operation or compatibility guarantee is supplied by this guide.
