Prepare one power plan for your event suppliers
Collect the equipment information from everyone using power, then connect it to the site layout and timetable before confirming the event arrangement.
Ideas for your event.
Ask each supplier for its actual requirements
List the catering appliances, sound, lighting and entertainment equipment planned for the event. Ask each supplier for the power requirements and the times its equipment will operate. Equipment-label photographs can help explain the items being discussed.
Record any known mains supply details from the venue and identify the operating position for each group of equipment. Give Fables that information to review rather than choosing a generator from a general event description alone.
Mark the equipment and access on a plan
Show the proposed power location, catering position, lighting areas and sound equipment, together with entrances and the unloading route. Tell the venue and Fables about access restrictions and the available setup windows.
If equipment is spread between a marquee, outdoor dining and the main building, make those separate positions clear. Discuss the required cables and power distribution for the agreed arrangement with Fables.
Review the full hire and operation
The current Fables generator guide lists a 6 kW / 7.5 kVA silent diesel generator from £250. Fables confirms the suitable proposed arrangement against the supplied equipment requirements, dates and location.
Ask what the quote includes for generator hire, fuel, delivery, collection, cables and power distribution. Agree who will coordinate setup and operation, and share the confirmed arrangement with the suppliers who will use it.
Treat Wi-Fi as a separate requirement
Current Fables terms require Wi-Fi for photobooth or DJ equipment and guest-food card payments where those services are booked. The connection needs to work at the equipment’s operating location; supplying own power does not supply Wi-Fi.
Tell Fables early if the required electricity or connection is unavailable so alternatives and any written extra price can be discussed. Keep the final requirements with the venue plan and update the brief if suppliers or equipment change.
Questions before you book.
What should each supplier contribute to the brief?
Ask for the equipment list, power requirements, operating times and intended positions. Include any relevant technical information and known venue supply details.
Does the generator’s starting price settle the full arrangement?
The quote confirms the generator and agreed fuel, delivery, cables, distribution, setup and operation arrangements for the event. Share the complete equipment brief first.
Continue planning.
Share your equipment and power requirements.
Send your event date, venue postcode and the items you are considering. Include quantities, access and timings so we can check availability and prepare your personalised quote.
