Plan Portable Toilets for Your Outdoor Event

Portable toilet planning starts with the event rather than a universal unit count. Describe who will be on site, for how long and which facilities already exist, then agree the proposed standard units and practical hire arrangements.

Describe the whole period of use

Give the expected attendance and the event opening and finishing times. If there are setup days, overnight stays or several event days, include them in the hire enquiry. Explain which permanent venue toilets will be available throughout that period.

Ask for the proposed number and type of units to be stated in the quote. This allows the actual arrangement to be reviewed without assuming that a photograph or a simple guest-count rule covers every site.

Check the facilities your guests need

Fables' service covers standard portable toilets. Discuss access or other particular facility requirements with Fables and the venue at the planning stage. Standard units should not be assumed to include an accessible layout, baby-changing facilities or a different form of accommodation.

Keep those requirements clear when comparing a proposal with the rest of the venue's facilities. Any additional arrangement needs to be confirmed rather than inferred from the existing website address or a general product description.

Plan the guest route and delivery access

Mark the proposed toilets on the same site plan as the marquee, bar, catering and guest entrance. Discuss the route guests will follow and how they will find the facilities after dark. Show delivery access as well as the final position.

Tell the provider about gates, ground conditions and vehicle restrictions. Collection needs access too, so consider whether another structure or parked vehicle could block the route once the event has finished.

Agree servicing and the on-site contact

Ask which cleaning, supplies, replenishment and servicing tasks are included in the hire, particularly for a longer period. Confirm who will handle any agreed tasks during the event and when servicing access is possible.

Keep the delivery and collection windows, contact details and arrangements for reporting a problem in one place. A clearly agreed practical plan is more useful than assuming that every task is covered by the hire duration.
