Plan your pizza horsebox space, access & power

A useful venue plan covers the route into the site, the setup position, the guest route and the supplies needed by the allocated catering unit.

Food, horseboxes and event moments.

Confirm permission and the route into the venue

The client must arrange suitable access and space for the towing vehicle and catering unit at the agreed setup time, with permission from the venue or landowner. Check the entrance, access route, proposed position and turning space together.

Tell Fables about narrow gates, height restrictions, slopes, soft ground and other known hazards. Send photographs or a plan where helpful. We will confirm requirements for the allocated equipment; do not assume a dimension from a photograph fits every unit.

Discuss the surface and ground protection

The towing vehicle and horsebox are heavy. Driving, manoeuvring or standing on grass and soft ground can leave tyre marks, ruts or compressed areas, especially in wet conditions, even when reasonable care is taken.

If keeping a lawn or surface unmarked is essential, discuss it before booking. Any alternative access or suitable protection needs agreement with Fables and the venue, with responsibility recorded. The driver assesses conditions on arrival and may refuse an unsafe route even where permission has been given.

Arrange electricity at the operating position

Electricity is required. Fables will confirm the supply requirements for the booked equipment, and the client must arrange a suitable supply at the agreed setup location and time.

If electricity is unavailable, our own power can be arranged in advance for an extra charge quoted and agreed in writing. Own power does not supply Wi-Fi. A working accessible connection is required where the booking includes a photobooth, DJ equipment or a card machine for guest food payments; discuss any unavailable connection in advance.

Bring the practical details into the booking

Confirm the arrival or setup window, the approved horsebox position and the route guests will use to collect food. Pass any venue restrictions to Fables before the arrangements are finalised.

Any clean-water or other utility requirements will be confirmed for the particular booking. Missing or unsuitable agreed supplies can delay or prevent service. Read the complete power and access wording in the main pizza questions, How we work and the terms rather than treating a checklist as the full agreement.

Good questions before booking

Your pizza catering questions.

Can you guarantee that grass will stay unmarked?

No. Heavy vehicles can mark or compress grass and soft ground even with reasonable care. Discuss alternative access or protection before booking if the surface must be preserved.

Can you give one access measurement for every horsebox?

The available units vary. Fables confirms the requirements for the allocated equipment after considering the venue, guest numbers and operational needs.

Can the driver refuse an unsafe route?

Yes. Venue permission does not make an unsafe route suitable. Fables’ driver will assess the conditions on arrival and may refuse unsafe access.
