Wedding BBQ catering around your celebration

Plan a BBQ wedding breakfast, relaxed reception meal or evening food with a menu and serving window agreed around your guests and venue.

Give the BBQ a place in your wedding day

Decide whether the BBQ is the main wedding meal, evening food or one part of a wider catering plan. Make a note of the ceremony, drinks reception, photographs, speeches and evening arrivals. A clear food window helps you coordinate the venue and the people managing the day.

Give separate numbers where day guests and evening guests differ, and explain which group needs the BBQ. Include any canapés, cake or other meals already arranged. This gives Fables the context to discuss the menu and food provision without assuming every guest will eat at every stage.

Build the meal from the full menu

Compare Fable 1, Fable 2 and Fable 3, then choose the grilled dishes and salads you would like to discuss. The published Fable menus provide three items per person and list four salads, relishes, French sticks and butter. Ask how your chosen meat and vegetarian or vegan portions will be recorded for the booking.

The separate BBQ Street Food Menu is another option to explore. It asks you to choose four menu options, with its own side and dessert extras. Choosing four options does not mean four servings per guest; the actual food provision belongs in your written quote.

Speak to the venue before fixing the layout

Check the approved cooking and serving position, the route into it and the setup window. A barn, garden or marquee setting may have restrictions that need discussion. Tell Fables about electricity, cooking rules and the arrangements for bad weather, then agree the practical requirements before booking.

Think about how guests will reach the food and where they will eat. If you need waiting staff, table clearing, crockery or other hire, ask for those items and hours to be listed in the quotation. Photographs and venue décor do not establish what is included in a catering package.

Keep the final plan in one place

Discuss food intolerances before booking. Fables does not cater for food allergies, and menu labels do not provide an allergen-free guarantee. Once arrangements are expressly accepted, confirm the agreed portion numbers and timings on your final form.

Your completed final booking form and cleared final balance are due 21 days before the wedding unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Guest numbers cannot drop below the original confirmed amount; increases need Fables’ written confirmation of capacity and any additional price.

Good questions before booking

Your BBQ catering questions.

Can a BBQ be our main wedding meal?

Yes, the BBQ menus can be discussed for a wedding meal or reception. Explain the role of the food, guest numbers, venue and serving time so Fables can confirm a suitable arrangement and quote.

Can we add other wedding catering?

You can ask about canapés, other meals, waiting staff or event hire in the same enquiry. Availability, service hours, quantities and prices must be confirmed; additions are not included automatically.
