Choose the salads, sides & sweet finish

Plan the food around the grill as carefully as the main dishes. Explore the full accompaniment lists and keep each menu’s inclusions and extras clear.

Choose salads to complement the grilled dishes

Each Fable menu lists four salads alongside its three items per person, relishes, French sticks and butter. The full menu page includes leafy salads, pasta and cous cous combinations, coleslaw, and fruit or vegetable-based choices. Start by reading those lists with your preferred grilled dishes in mind.

Examples include Alfresco salad, Amalfi salad, classic Caesar salad, Mediterranean cous cous and homemade coleslaw. Ingredients vary across the options. Choose the combinations you would like to discuss and confirm the final dishes and portion numbers with Fables rather than assuming every listed accompaniment will appear.

Discuss the potato list within the meal plan

The current menu also lists eight potato-salad choices, including new potatoes with creamy mayonnaise, Dijon mustard mayonnaise, smoked bacon and garlic-mustard dressing, and a Thai-style ginger-lime option. These give you further ideas to raise when selecting the accompaniments.

The published page does not specify how every potato choice relates to the four included salads. Ask Fables to confirm the selected dishes and how they are included in your quotation. Do not assume a separate allowance, surcharge or extra course from the list alone.

Keep the street-food sides separate

The separate BBQ Street Food Menu offers crispy seasoned fries or fresh mixed salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing under a £3 per person extra heading. If you want a side with that selection, tell us the option and guest numbers so it can be included in the quote.

Those street-food sides are not automatically free additions to Fable 1, Fable 2 or Fable 3. Likewise, the four-salad wording in a Fable menu does not establish the accompaniments for the separate street-food selection. Compare the relevant written offer before settling the meal.

Agree one street-food dessert choice or discuss alternatives

The published BBQ Street Food dessert selection is £3 per person extra for one choice. Its list is mini chocolate brownies, fresh fruit skewer, a selection of homemade cakes, donut wall or Pic N Mix. Ask about your preferred option when requesting the complete food plan.

You can also discuss other catering, such as a vintage dessert tricycle, with availability and pricing confirmed separately. Menu choices are subject to the agreed booking. Discuss food intolerances before relying on an ingredient or menu label: Fables does not cater for food allergies and cannot guarantee allergen-free food.

Good questions before booking
