Photo Booth Props & Styling Ideas

Use props and styling to support the experience you want guests to enjoy. Choose the photo booth format first, then confirm the pieces, appearance and practical arrangements that belong in your booking.

Share your event date, venue and preferred booth format.

Let the format guide the styling

A still-photo setup, a contained booth and a moving video experience can need different arrangements. Think about how guests approach the equipment, take part and leave the area before deciding where props or other styling should sit.

Describe a theme, colour scheme or particular look in your enquiry, and ask the team to confirm what the chosen package includes. If a backdrop, signs, props or branded appearance matters to your event, list those requirements explicitly. A picture of a different booth type is inspiration, not a specification for the booking.

The included Magic Mirror prop box

The current Magic Mirror package includes hats, wigs, glasses, inflatables, signs and more in its prop box. It also includes the red carpet and red velvet rope barriers. These are published Magic Mirror inclusions; props and styling for other formats are confirmed in the quotation.

Magic Mirror guests can make unlimited visits during their allocated hire time. A few simple group ideas can help people get started, then leave room for them to enjoy their own combinations. The service is paperless, with QR photo access and a host digital folder after the event.

Plan a welcoming photo moment

Think about the people you would like to include: friends from different parts of the celebration, family who are rarely together, colleagues after the formal programme or guests arriving later in the evening. Match those plans to the operating window you book.

Keep the approach easy to understand and discuss the complete setup with the venue. If a format involves movement or a platform, ask Fables how guests will participate and where other items can safely be positioned. The team will confirm the requirements for the selected equipment.

  • Choose the format and the photo or video result first.
  • Describe any particular props, backdrop or appearance you want confirmed.
  • Plan a few important group combinations without scheduling every picture.
  • Discuss guest access and assistance needs before the event.

Bring the details into your enquiry

Send the date, venue postcode, approximate attendance and preferred operating times with your photo ideas. Confirm any specific items and services in the quotation, rather than assuming the same prop package applies to every type.

Electricity and working Wi-Fi are required at the agreed operating location, with Fables confirming the equipment’s requirements. Discuss access, guest routes and any room changeover with your venue. The Magic Mirror has published 2, 3 and 4-hour hire options from £250 for 2 hours; other type and package prices are quoted for your plans.
