Choosing Your Magic Mirror Hire Time

A useful photo booth booking starts with your event timetable. Fables offers Magic Mirror hire for 2, 3 or 4 hours. The right choice depends on when guests can actually use it, rather than simply how long your celebration lasts.

Find the part of the event with room to play

Begin with the fixed parts of your day: arrival, food service, speeches, performances and the venue's finish time. Mark the periods when most guests will be seated or watching something together. A mirror operating through the middle of a sit-down meal may have fewer opportunities for guests than one available when people are already moving around.

Next, identify who you want in the photos. At a wedding, daytime and evening guests may arrive at different times. At a birthday party, some relatives may leave earlier than friends. A corporate schedule may include a presentation that everyone needs to attend. Build the hire window around those people and moments.

Compare the three hire lengths

Use these as planning prompts, rather than rules about guest numbers. The same group can return several times, and a busy period can be followed by a quieter one.

  • Two hours: consider a focused part of the evening when guests are together and free to take photos. Protect that window from long speeches or another activity that needs everyone's attention.
  • Three hours: consider a wider window that crosses a change in the evening, such as later arrivals or the move from food to dancing.
  • Four hours: consider a longer celebration where you want more flexibility about when people visit. Check that the mirror will remain accessible throughout the period.

Unlimited visits still need a sensible timetable

Guests can make unlimited visits during the allocated hire time. That gives friends a chance to try different combinations and props, but it does not mean a particular number of groups can be photographed every hour. Avoid using an assumed throughput figure to decide your booking.

Instead, think about how guests will notice the mirror and reach it. A visible location with clear routes can make it easier for people to join in naturally. Ask your venue where a queue could form without crossing a doorway, blocking service or cutting through the dance floor.

Separate the timings that need confirmation

Your event start, venue-access time and chosen photo booth window are different pieces of information. Send all three where possible. Delivery and setup are included in the current Fables booking description, during the selected time frame; confirm exactly how these arrangements fit your planned operating start and finish before booking.

Also flag any room changeover. If the proposed mirror position is occupied by dining tables earlier in the day, Fables and the venue need to discuss access and installation. Do not build your timetable around an unconfirmed setup duration or assume the equipment can be moved during the event.

Include the practical checks before choosing a slot

Electricity and working Wi-Fi are required for a photobooth booking. The client must arrange suitable supplies at the agreed operating location. Fables confirms the electrical requirements for the booked equipment. Check Wi-Fi at that position, rather than relying only on reception in the entrance hall.

If electricity is unavailable, Fables can quote its own power for an additional charge agreed in writing. That does not supply Wi-Fi. Tell the team about an unavailable connection in advance so possible arrangements can be discussed before the event timetable is settled.

Send a brief that makes a quote easier

Include your date, venue postcode, approximate guest numbers, preferred hire length, proposed operating times and any access restrictions. Add the main timetable points, especially speeches, meal service and later arrivals. If you have not decided between two lengths, explain the periods you want to cover.

The current Magic Mirror starting price is £250 for 2 hours. Ask for the price and details of the booking you actually need; do not calculate longer hire by multiplying that starting rate. Once the quote is agreed, share the confirmed timings with your venue contact and anyone coordinating the evening.
